Welcome to Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, and Granite Bay's premier spot for music lessons and instruction! Here at Spotlight Music Lessons the spotlight is on you. We provide music lessons for all ages and specialize with beginners. We believe that music is one of the greatest things on earth and want to share it with everyone. Whether you are learning guitar, ukulele, drum, voice, keyboard, piano, recording or any other offering, we keep things educational yet fun! We believe that learning an instrument should be exciting and if taught the wrong way, can leave a bad experience with someone and cause them to stray away from learning. Each of our instructors share this vision and strive to blend top notch music education with fun and excitement. Our unique blend of teaching and fun places us at the best spot to learn music in the Roseville, Rocklin, and Granite Bay area. We are proud to offer lessons in Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Drum, Voice, Recording, and Keyboard. Spotlight Music Lessons is also equipped to offer recording services such as song demos, voice overs, music editing and more! In addition to our award winning music lessons, Spotlight offers academic tutoring from a credentialed teacher including Math and Reading.

We know that there are many options out there for learning an instrument and quite frankly that's awesome! We all share the same passion of music and we want to share it. We love the other teachers out there because honestly a lot of them are our friends and family of musicians in the Roseville, Rocklin, Granite bay area! Here are some things that we feel make Spotlight Music Lessons the best choice for guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, voice, recording etc:

We are family friendly!
Each teacher at Spotlight Music Lessons come from strong family backgrounds. We value the same things families value: Honesty, Integrity, Commitment, Love, Patience, Kindness and Understanding. We take these traits and do our best not to only live them out in our personal lives, but in our business and teaching as well. Often times kids look up to their teachers and we believe this is a huge responsibility to set a good example in the studio and out.

We keep things fun and adapt to each individual's learning style and ability.

Music can be either the most exciting thing to learn or honestly the most boring. It is all in how the teacher presents it to the student. If the teacher teaches how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb over and over again... well no one is going to want to come back week after week for that, no matter how well you play it. Here at Spotlight Music Lessons we are current and will learn songs our students actually WANT to learn. We understand that each individual is different and will quickly asses and adapt to that learning style.

Homeschool Charters

Spotlight Music Lessons has partnered with our local charter and home school programs! We are approved to be a vendor for the above charters/programs and are able to take their vouchers or bill them as forms of payment! We are currently vendors with the following charters:Visions in Education, Horizon, South Sutter, Sutter Peak, Cottonwood, Feather River, Clarksville.

A whole team under one roof

Each teacher at Spotlight Music Lessons brings something to the table. Each teacher has years upon years of experience in teaching, playing, and knowing how to apply their craft in music. We all have different backgrounds and specialize in different areas, but that is what makes a great team. At Spotlight Music Lessons you don't get just one teacher, you get our whole family. Say you want to learn guitar from one instructor, but now want to sing and start performing live at open mic nights. Well, take both guitar AND voice lessons. Our teachers will communicate and get you where you want to go. Or say you play guitar already, but want to learn bass, and then lay your tracks down in our studio. We can take care of ALL your musical needs under one roof.

Special Needs Program

We strongly believe that music can speak to anyone as it is the universal language. How everyone perceives and uses music is different. The teachers at Spotlight Music Lessons have experience in teaching children and adults with special needs. We have taught individuals with Autism, Downs Syndrome, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. We welcome any individual with any type of special circ*mstance. In the past we have seen these individuals show progress in their memory, focus, and social skills. Some weeks are better than others and we understand that. The joy and feeling found in playing music is the real success. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any special needs student. We want you! We will talk and figure out what you want to get out of the lessons. The Special Needs Program is priced the same as any lesson package or option!

Worship Program

Some of our teachers at Spotlight Music Lessons have either played in churches and/or have led worship services. Our worship program is unique in that we gear each lesson toward getting the individual ready to serve on a worship team. We will go over specific songs used in many churches as well as how to best play and perform in these situations. Already play and simply want to brush up your skills by going over specific church songs? This option is for you! We will go over songs, parts of songs, and discuss ideas of what you can bring to your worship team. Churches, do you have someone who wishes to play on the worship team every Sunday, but maybe needs a little more practice or direction? (hey we've all been there, no big deal!) This option could be for them! We can take payment from the church if you would like to pay on their behalf. The Worship program is priced the same as any lesson package or option!
