My experience at Veterans has been great they have many clubs to join that help you expand your knowledge in certain areas. I haven’t had the opportunity to join because of personal things but I would want to in this upcoming year. The worst part could be that many students sneak in drugs and other items that administrations then has to do backpack checks.

When I started and VTCTA it was during COVID everyone had masks while at school so as for our health, they took it very seriously. I wish that there was more elective choices because after you are a sophmore and get all your main credits out of the way it starts to get boring. I would like to see a change in how the admin acts. They would make unruly dress code on Students of Color mainly African American one which felt very targeted because I was a victim of it many times. They also need to have more diversity awareness when it comes to certain situations.

I have enjoyed the time spent there. It is a small school so the teachers get to know you very well. We have lots of nice and kind teachers, and they are probably the best part about our school. The school’s reputation has declined recently, as more students are less interested in learning at school.

It is overall a good school it has its downsides and upsides just like any other school. What makes this school different is that you feel more protected then at any other school. Some teachers work perfectly with their students and others are very difficult because some student wont understand them.

I am a sophom*ore at Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy, and this is my second year at the school. So many unique opportunities flood through our doors, giving students real-world experience in any desired career field. VT prepares you to be the best you can be academically, socially, and physically, with faculty that only want to see you succeed. We learn the values of respect, integrity, and discipline in our school, and develop confidence in public speaking. We are involved with our community partners and are fortunate to get to work with our local agencies. No school is perfect, but the environment created among staff and students of VT is practically a second home to me. I am proud to be a part of the VT community!

It's a small school (<1,000 students) so news can travel fast. However, it can be easy to make friends as there are kids from all over Vegas going to this school. The assemblies for spirit weeks and school events were fun, especially when A-TECH was involved as we are right next door. The connections you make when you are in your chosen program can be beneficial for jobs and colleges.

Veterans Tribute is a great school considering the small class sizes which allow students to be remembered and get personal help by teachers rather than being overlooked in larger class sizes.

First off, the teachers that are good are far and few. The ones that do shine definitely do so brightly. The curriculum is challenging but in some cases not fair and punishing. The social ladder at the school is very outcasting. The campus is occasionally clean.

Honestly there wouldn't be much for me to change about this high school besides maybe the food because everything about this school provided me with such useful resources and support to be ready to apply and attend college or pursue any other goals I may have.

It has been very pleasant! It was a bit of a challenge my freshman year due to the EMS Program teacher leaving and doing school on distance education, but things have become better over time! My program class has been very enjoyable and there have been some amazing opportunities I've received while attending. I am a part of NHS and HOSA at the school and we've worked on some amazing volunteer projects and I am looking forward to what we are doing this year.

I left California and came to Nevada and I hate it here. The school is extremely boring and we have to wear uniforms, but I’m learning a lot because I’m in Criminal Justice.

Veterans Tribute CTA is a phenomenal magnet school that is very career and academically focused. The atmosphere is encouraging and hard working. The majority of students are driven by wanting to help their community in various professions including Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, 911 Dispatch, Forensic Science, Cybersecurity, and military. Many students are highly involved in after school clubs and have extensive community service and volunteering records. The programs offer ample connection with future employers from the community, and there are often guests that come to speak or help with training, including metro and the fire department. The student council program is very good, and the student body has a lot of school spirit. There are no sports or music programs, but this works in favor of the focus on public safety programs and competing in those skills.

Veterans Tribute CTA is truly an amazing and very safe school where all staff members are genuinely interested in your education and shaping you into an excellent student. It can be excessively strict sometimes especially with the uniform policy but overall this school aims to teach students about professionalism and respectability. It is very small for a high school with around 800 students attending in total. All the programs are extremely well organized, planned and equipped to give students an insight into their future career choice. Due to how small the school is though there are fewer class options compared to other high schools in Vegas. The electives list is pretty limited compared to bigger high schools which can make it difficult for students who are interested in taking abstract classes such as pottery, some AP classes , culinary etc. This is something for future students to keep in mind if considering Veterans Tribute but overall it is a great school with great qualities.

As a recent graduate I look back on my time at Veterans Tribute and reflect on all the lessons I learned. Veterans Tribute taught me discipline and responsibility, allowing me to grow up into someone caring for my community. The tough times that high school brought taught me perseverance and patience through the endless hours of homework and studying. Change nothing to this school and rather preserve what is there. The kids now may complain but when they look back they will see how fortunate they were to attend such a great school.

I liked how Veterans Tribute CTA is a highly well educated school for students that want to learn and that it is a magnet for students who really want to learn and pursue in a career in the future. I like how Veterans Tribute CTA has many different programs for students to be in depending on the career they want to pursue in and different activities for students to participate in.

I had a good time here. I thoroughly enjoy the criminal justice program they offer and I feel as if it has prepared me well enough for future studies in law. Everyone is very respectful and the teachers are warm and welcoming.

Veterans Tribute is an excellent school to learn about first responder careers. At Veterans Tribute, students get not only book work, but hands on work as well. It is also a great environment to learn about yourself and the others around you.

I wanted to go to a school that had the same beliefs as me, and that's exactly what I got at Veterans Tribute. All the teachers are very kind and willing to help whenever you need it. They give students 20 minutes of assistance time, making it possible for students to go to their teachers with questions. Everyone stands up and greets the adult that enters the room. Everyone stands for the Pledge of Allegiance, respecting those who have/are protecting us and our country.

My experience in the school was that they are very humble and kind to all the students. They had major programs being that other’s school didn’t have. The programs being criminal justice, law-enforcement, EMS,
911 dispatch, forensics and a new one cyber security. I myself am in the criminal justice program. The Criminal justice program focuses on mostly on the prosecution side; as we go into more detail of court rules, public speaking, and some fun, mock trial.
